Kohima, February 6 (MExN): A team under District Commander, Home Guards & Civil Defence, Kohima team Akhui Kath imparted theory and practical classes for NCC cadets on disaster management on February 4.
This was held in continuation of activities to the ongoing Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-113) for NCC Cadets held at IG Stadium, Kohima, a press release from Col Daniel Lotzem stated.
It included lecture and demonstration on Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), technique of bandage knotting & lashing of rope and emergency methods of rescue. Col Daniel Lotzem CO 24 Nagaland (I) Coy NCC Kohima was also present during the disaster demonstration and motivated the cadets to work hard and make full use of the training being imparted during the demonstration.
Col Lotzem also being the Camp commandant, emphasized on the importance of disaster management drills and its practical applications in everyday life. The commanding officer on behalf of Group Commander, HQ NCC Kohima Brig K Venugopal, SM and 24 Nagaland (I) Coy NCC Kohima expressed gratitude to the team of District Commander, Home Guards & Civil Defence, Kohima team for their yeoman service in conducting disaster management capsule for the cadets.
