The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) of 17th Chizami Assembly Constituency has conducted an installation-cum-felicitation of A/C, village and town unit office bearers on August 31 at Chizami new town hall.
NDPP Central Executive Board (CEB) Secretary, Cüsayi Lohe introduced and administered oath to the office bearers in the presence of NDPP CEB Advisor KG Kenye, NDPP Phek region President, Mosonyi Domeh and other leaders of central, region/frontal organizations from 17th Chizami A/C.
Rev Mese Rhakho pronounced the act of blessing.
Speaking on the occasion, Kenye welcomed all the individuals who resigned from the different political parties and joined NDPP. He called upon the party workers to rise on the occasion and be an asset and not to create any form of liability to the party. He also challenged the party workers to live up to the principles of NDPP party.
Kenye said that the NDPP 17th Chizami A/C has to march together with others and look beyond for progress and all round development. In this, he stressed on the need to place a clear social and political stand.
Also speaking at the programme, Domeh asked the new team of office bearers to be humble and work in cohesion to strengthen the party. In line with NDPP central directive, Domeh appealed the constituency leaders in Phek district not to make any formal declaration of their candidature without the official consent of the party for the general assembly election.
Meanwhile, resolution committee convenor, Seyieveto Lohe read out the four point resolution adopted at the programme.
It its resolution, the NDPP 17th Chizami A/C reaffirmed to strengthen the party under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister and Chingwang Konyak, president NDPP.
It also resolved to extend its full cooperation and work cohesively under the guidance and leadership of KG Kenye advisor, NDPP & Ex-MP “under all weathers.”
The NDPP 17-Chizami A/C welcomed all individuals who had resigned from different political parties and joined NDPP.
Further, it appealed all section of people to uphold peaceful and congenial atmosphere within the Naga society.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by NDPP 17th Chizami A/C president Rarüveyi Swüro while vote of thanks was proposed by R.P. Domeh, president Youth Organization, NDPP 17th Chizami A/C.
NDPP 17th Chizami A/C official informed that 800 party workers attended the installation-cum- felicitation programme.
