NEIDS awareness programme held in Wokha

Wokha, January 7 (MExN): An awareness programme on North East Industrial Development Scheme (NEIDS 2017) was held at Planning Machinery Cell Conference Hall, Wokha on January 7, organized by the Department of industries and commerce.
Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Lithrongla G Chishi, IAS delivering the keynote address said that the objective of the scheme was to boost the process of industrialization and economy in the North-Eastern Region of India to enhance employment and job opportunity in the North East region.
She further encourage the youths to take up different business with full determination, while she added that Wokha the land of plenty has more to offer in term of large scale production and supply, whereby she told them to take the advantage of Doyang reservoir in supply of fishes by setting up cold storage and stock supply hub in Wokha which will benefit the entrepreneur as well as the whole section of society.
She also informed that all possible support and queries will be taken under consideration by department of Industry and Commerce for implementation of NEIDS.
NEIDS awareness will reach all section of society in building a strong economy, she added.
Additional Director, Industries & Commerce, Cholzo Sophie, informed to avail benefit by accessed through the website www.dipp.gov.in. A team from NEIDS highlighted the scheme through a power point presentation and guided access to the website through step by step procedures and documents required for applying online in availing the benefit.
The team is scheduled to visit Mokokchung on January 8, Zunheboto on January 13, Chozuba (Phek) on January 15, Kiphire on January 16, Longleng on January 21, Mon on January 23, Peren on January 24 and Tuensang on January 28.
The programme was chaired by Apong Imsong, Functional Manager, DIC Wokha. Welcome address was delivered by GM, DIC Wokha, Nchumbemo Patton, while vote of thanks pronounced by Mhachan N Kikon, Economic investigator.
