Dimapur, August 10 (MExN): The new office building of Assistant Director Supply, Bank Colony Dimapur was inaugurated by Advisor, F&CS Nagaland, Pukhayi Sumi which was held virtually by providing link to all concerned on August 10.
In his speech projected in a screen, Phukayi congratulated the Director Food and Civil Supply Nagaland, Asangla Imti and her team, Engineering wing, contractor, ADS Dimapur and all involved for successful completion of the office building with quality workmanship within the timeframe.
Phukayi extended appreciation and complimented the Departmental officers, staffs, field officers, workers for successful completion of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) phase 1, Atma Nirbhar Bharat (ANB) in all Districts besides the regular schemes. In this time of uncertainty, where our lives are insecure and at stake, the Department has done exemplary/ commendable job of ensuring availability of foodgrains all over the State, without interrupting supply chain despite facing hurdles and challenges and practical constraints, the Advisor maintained.
Reminding that service to man was service to God, Phukayi appealed to all the officers, staffs, fieldworkers and stakeholders for keeping up the noble work while implementing PMGKAY II and the other regular schemes. He also advised them to follow the three golden rules i.e. social distancing, hand hygiene and wearing masks as a preventive measure to stay away from Corona.
Marking the day, Director Food and Civil Supply, Asangla Imti unveiled the plaque of the ADS Dimapur office building on behalf of Advisor Phukayi Sumi. Asangla who conducted the inaugural session, informed that the programme was being held virtually for maintaining social distance in view of the present pandemic. “Although we have realised that the pandemic would stay with us for good, yet it has also given us the advantage to be more IT savy and upgrade ourselves technologically,” the Director observed.
Junior Engineer, F&CS, presenting the technical report informed that the plinth area of the building covered 1,932 sq feet and has of five office rooms, four toilets with water supply connection.
Further, cement concrete pavement for parking both internal and external electrification has been provided while scope for further expansion upto two storeys has been provided, the engineer added.
The total project cost of 1.0 crore and total work order amounting to Rs.88 lakhs was awarded to M/S Temjentemsu (Class I Government Registered Contractor) he informed.
Rev Vitoshe Swu offered the dedicatory prayer. ADS supply Dimapur, Kavito Sema, department officials, officials from FCI and others attended the inaugural Programme.
