Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): The new administrative and police heads of Dimapur district have assumed office. New Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi IAS, who assumed office on October 28 called for the first meeting with DDMA members on October 29 to take stock of the flood situation in Nagaland and for taking precautionary measures for combating the situation.
In the meeting, Kinchi expressing concern over the flood situation in Dimapur enquired about the challenges faced, to which officials from Home Guards and DDMA cited shortage of equipments, manpower and need for trainings as the areas to be looked into. Kinchi also felt the need for devising a mechanism so that affected people could be able to provide first hand information to the authority concerned during disaster.
Meanwhile, Rothihu Tetseo IPS has taken charge as the new Commissioner of Police, Dimapur with effect from October 29. This was informed by Dimapur Police in an update on its official Facebook page.
