Kohima, February 14 (DIPR): The State level orientation cum workshop for Secondary Teacher Educators with the theme ‘Changing Trends and Concerns’ was held on February 14 at the Nagaland College of Teacher Education Conference's Hall with Commissioner & Secretary Higher and Technical Education, FP Solo as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lauded the organizer for conducting such workshop and further encouraged them to conduct more seminar and workshop for teachers in order to be more prepared and equipped with the changing trends of the fast changing society. He also encouraged the participants to give more importance in English language for better communication and further asked the teachers to play constructive utilization of human resources. He said that the government has laid down certain conditions similarly with the UGC norms for appointing and syllabus for the teacher's trainees. Knowledge skill and right attitude are the main elements for attaining the quality of education, he added.
Speaking on the objective of the programme, Assistant Professor NCTE, T. Alemla Lkr said that the current implementation of the new syllabus is focus on changing trends and concerned which are based on school, health programmers, problems of adolescent's learners, finalization of lesson plan, planning to teach on constructive approach etc. She also added that the introduction of new syllabus would go a long way in improving the standard and quality of education.
The programme was chaired by Assistant Professor NCTE Kohima, Elizabeth while welcome address was delivered by Principal NCTE Kohima, Dr. K. Punyu and special number was presented by student's teachers NCTE Kohima. A brief highlight of the new B. Ed Curriculum was given by Assistant Professor NCTE Kohima, Bendangla and vote of thanks was proposed by Assistant Professor NCTE Kohima, Sandip Ratna.
