Mokokchung, August 27 (MExN): The National TB Elimination programme, Mokokchung conducted a short function led by Dr Aonungdok, Dy CMO & DTO Incharge at District TB Centre, Mokokchung and launched Ni-Kshay Mitra (a community support for better treatment and care for TB patients by adopting them) an initiative of GOI.
A press release received here stated that during the function held on August 24, Dr Aonungdok highlighted that this activity was initiated by the then District TB Officer Dr Tiameren. He acknowledged all the Ni-Kshay Mitras for willing coming forward and donating generously the nutrition supplements for TB patients in Mokokchung District and he also requested the Ni-Kshay Mitras to sustain the nutritional support in days to come.
Dr Toshila Jamir, SMO Chest Diseases & TB Hospital, Mokokchung, spoke on importance of nutritional support and adherence to treatment. This was followed by distribution of nutritional support by Ni-Kshay Mitras.
