Dimapur, January 3 (MExN): The Naga National Council (NNC) led by Adino Phizo has mourned the demise of Imkongtoshi Ao, Ao region, Vice President NNC on January 1, 2020.
NNC, President, Adino Phizo in a condolence message stated that Imkongtoshi of Settsü village dedicated his whole life in serving the Naga nation in different capacities right from 1951 onward in Ao region. Later on, he served the nation as a Joint Secretary of the NNC. Subsequently, he was elected as one of the Vice Presidents, NNC on October 8, 2015. “He continued to sacrificially render his valuable service to the nation till his last breath on January 1, 2020,” the release stated.
“Indeed, his sudden demise is a grievous loss and the vacuum created will be difficult to replace. I and my colleagues extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and relatives. We pray to the almighty God to bless and guide them all and grant them solace at this hour of grief. May the soul of our departed leader, rest in eternal peace,” the release added.
