Noklak, December 10 (MExN): Noklak SDPDB meeting was held at Langdem, Lang Mini Hydro Project Site on November 29 under the Chairmanship of Mekala Chaitanya Prasad IAS, Addl Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman SDPDB Noklak.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting discussed the proposal for establishment of Kendra Vidyalaya School at Nokyan ‘B’ village under Noklak. Nokyan ‘B’ village agreed to donate land (MOU attached) as per the requirement for establishment of the mentioned school. The house deliberated at length and approved to forward to the concerned authority for consideration.
Agenda submitted by Pangsha Range Joint Council for construction of Tourist resort at Veihaichung Laang River which is located 15 km away from Noklak Hq has been discussed and found to be a necessity for having such facility with the increase in the number of visitors especially to ITC Pangsha. The proposed location is found to be idle for having such facility with food and lodging and hence, the house approved to forward the matter to the concerned authority.
The meeting also resolved to write to the Medical Department for conduct of mass campaign for creating awareness on Scrub Typhus which is highly prevalent in Noklak area. Keeping in mind the increasing case of Scrub Typhus occurrence it is urgent felt that such mass campaign should be conducted at the earliest.
Coy Commander 45th AR ITC Pangsha highlighted and briefed the members on the various regulation been implemented on the movement across the border.
Since State Bank of India, Noklak Branch could not be present in the meeting for the departmental activity presentation it was decided to let the bank present in the next meeting.
