A two-day long Leadership Meet of Naga People’s Front (NPF) Central Youth Wing (CYW) got underway here today at State Academy Hall under the theme ‘NPF- Catalyst for peace.’

Addressing the gathering as the guest speaker, L Dikho, minister for PHED and Printing & Stationary, Manipur said that NPF is a peace loving party and always faithful towards the welfare of the people.

He called upon the youth and NPF leaders to be committed and live upto the vision of the party and not be wavered with other political parties as “NPF’s vision is different.” NPF has potential to grow and return to power, he said while asserting that NPF Manipur state unit will extend all out support to the Central NPF in the 2023 Nagaland state general elections.

On the coming 2022 Manipur Assembly elections, Dikho said election in Manipur is going to be very tough because people have recognized and started appreciating NPF as it has proved its vision and objective. Now, people have started appreciating NPF in many ways, he said.

Er Loguseng Semp, general secretary COB, Achumbemo Kikon secretary general NPF and MLA YM Yollow also spoke on day one session. 

The leadership meet witnessed the presence of NPF youth wing from all over the 14 divisional units of Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur State unit.

Earlier, welcome address was delivered by S Medom, NPF CYW working president. The programme was chaired by NPF Central Youth Wing working president Supoyi Vezhu while vote of thanks was proposed by Solomon Ritse, general secretary (Administration) NPF CYW. 

Meanwhile, MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, in-charge of NPF CYW will address day-two session on November 19 as the special guest at 10:00 AM. Dr Lorho S Pfoze, MP, Lok Sabha, Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency will be the theme speaker.
