DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 7 (MExN): The NPF Dimapur Division today informed that it will hold a peaceful sit-in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) on February 11 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Supermarket area in Dimapur. This decision was taken during a meeting on February 7, following the directive from the NPF central office. A press release from the NPF Dimapur division General Secretary, Itokhu Chophy invited all “like-minded NGOS, individuals, members of civil societies and well-wishers irrespective of parties and groups to participate in the protest and show solidarity towards the cause.” The party further informed that it will be mandatory for all Dimapur based NPF Central office bearers and office bearers of division parent body, youth wing, womens’ wing, minority wing, farmer’s wing and all A/C level office bearers to participate in the protest without fail.
