DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 8 (MExN): The Naga Peoples’ Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR) today condemned the February 5 incident, where its Secretary General, Neingulo Krome was stopped by immigration officials at Kolkata airport from travelling to Bangkok. “The Secretary General of the Naga Peoples’ Movement (NPMHR) was offloaded by the immigration authorities at Kolkata Airport (en route to Bangkok) without giving any clear reason. He was only told that the government have put a ban on his foreign travel,” a press release from the NPMHR informed. It stated that such “dehumanising and intimidating act reflects of a government that thrives on threats to take away our movement and voice.” “We condemn the Government of India for such unlawful act and demand to stop these persecutions,” it added.
