Kohima, August 19 (MExN): The Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) in collaboration with the Department of School Education (DoSE), Nagaland will be uploading video lessons on topics under the Adolescence Education Programme (AEP) w.e.f August 20 through DoSE official social media platforms in Facebook and YouTube.
The AEP is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), GoI and National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) Gol, to equip every adolescent (child between 10 to 19 years) with scientific information, knowledge and life-skills to protect themselves from HIV infection and manage their concerns pertaining to reproductive and sexual health, stated a press release from Dr K Vikato Kinimi, Project Director, NSACS.
The video lessons will cover five topics including Aims and Objectives of AEP; Growing up and Adolescent Health; Mental Health and substance Abuse; HIV/AIDS and STIs/RTIs; and Life skills for HIV prevention.
Teachers and parents of students studying in various schools (Government and Private) across Nagaland state are kindly requested to encourage the students to view the lessons on the above mentioned platforms YouTube: DoSE Nagaland and Facebook page: School Education, Nagaland/DoSENL.
Online evaluation on the AEP topics through the official online evaluation programme initiative of the DoSE through the web portal https://dosenl.in will be conducted and prizes will be awarded to the best performing, students.
