NSCN (IM) extends 'tax exemptions' to local entrepreneurs

DIMAPUR, JUNE 1 (MExN): In the interest of Naga entrepreneurs, the NSCN (IM) has announced further tax exemptions to local business start-ups. 

An MIP release issued on Saturday informed that the Kilo Kilonser of GPRN in an order has extended the current one-year tax holiday accorded to Naga entrepreneurs at the initial year of establishment to two years with immediate effect. 

It however cautioned that if any Naga is found leasing the name of their business to non-Nagas, the trade license would be cancelled with immediate effect. Agriculture products circulated within Nagaland have also been made tax free except for those exporting outside for commercial purpose.

It also stated that no ministry/department/agency of GPRN shall utilize the services of non-Nagas in collection of tax.
