DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 1 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) led by its chief negotiator Th. Muivah along with his delegate members on behalf of National Socialist Council of Nagalim has extended profound gratitude and appreciation to every individual, church, forum, convention, association, national worker, prayer center/group, civil society, etc. across Nagalim and beyond for the unceasing prayers.
An MIP release stated that the NSCN negotiating team has earnestly appealed to everyone to continue upholding both the negotiating parties in prayers so that the twenty two (22) years Indo-Naga peace talk is gracefully concluded before long.
Besides others, the NSCN negotiating team expressed its sincere thanks to Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) and Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) for rising up to the occasion with their steering role.
Member of NSCN (IM) Collective Leadership, Lt. Col. (Retd) Neipfupe (Ape) Venuh in a separate press statement also expressed gratitude for the unfailing support of the Naga people to settle the decades long Indo-Naga conflict.
“Today, as the GoI and NSCN come to a meeting point to settle the decades long conflict, we are now entering into the new dawn. It is not the wisdom and ability of the NSCN leaders alone, but it is by the unfailing support of the Naga people,” the NSCN (IM) leader said.
While stating that the supports received from every walk of life were unimaginable, Venuh acknowledged the civil societies, churches, prayer centres, prayer warriors, women groups, intellectuals, students, media fraternity and all individuals for giving their best in bringing the development in the Naga movement.
Venuh also made particular mention of those individuals and groups who have been praying unceasingly and who have been fasting tirelessly. “It is by your prayers that God the Almighty have listened to the cries of the Nagas,” he added.
The NSCN (IM) leader has appealed all to continue the good fight stronger, until the ultimate goal is accomplished.
