DIMAPUR, JUNE 28 (MExN): The National Socialist Council of Nagaland Khaplang group has clarified on what it termed as “cheap propaganda” of “Khehoi campers” pointing out that they were “neither NSCN-K, NSCN-IM nor NNC-FGN and therefore, holds no legitimacy over anyone except over those members taking shelter within the limited confines of Khehoi camp but only for a short while since the days of glory-partying are numbered”. “Henceforth, the NSCN/GPRN shall no more respond to such cheap propaganda”, stated a press note issued by Hokato Vusshe, Seniormost Member, CFSB NSCN/GPRN.
In connection with the most recent developments taking place in “Nagaland political arena and certain confusions being deliberately created by vested section”, the press note stated that this needed to be clarified in the interest of the Naga people in general and in particular the sanctity and dignity of the Nagas sacred struggle. The NSCN/GPRN under the leadership of S.S Khaplang appealed to the cross sections of Naga society, right-thinking citizens and every stakeholder to “judiciously observe and identify the pseudo-nationalists in the garb of Naga reconciliation process”.
While acknowledging the various aspects of contributions from the Nagas as well as from the non-Naga sympathisers particularly in Nagaland state, the press note stated that it would like to issue “caution so that oppressive and meaningless burden of extortion, taxation, etc may immediately be curbed through combined endeavours”.
It also informed that as usual, the Chaplee ministry would “solicit contributions and continuous normal revenue drive for which purpose the resources owners in cash, kind etc may maintain the usual mode of transactions”. “This includes business community, professional and various profit/income generating establishments, agencies etc”.
Stating that Nagas are “being deceived by coalition of habitual defectors from IM, expelled members from NSCN/GPRN and mostly petty street criminals, eccentrics and frustrated individuals trying to encapsulate the thriving Nagas economic nerve centre (Dimapur)”, the press note pointed out that on the pretext of reconciliation and unification, these “despicable elements infiltrated NSCN/GPRNs designated camp at Khehoi and finally are demonstrating their true evil color by trying to assert authority and forcefully continuing to occupy the same”.
“It is because of such treacherous and diabolical activities the NSCN/GPRN, in order to avoid bloodshed, have isolated Khehoi campers for the time being so that the Nagas are provided an opportunity to clearly differentiate for themselves the real identities of those claiming to be national workers”, it stated while adding that the “NSCN/GPRN does feel impertinent to respond to Khehoi campers termination of genuine NSCN officials”.
“However, to put an end once and for all, such ridiculous ploy and self-mocking dramas that dishonour the national struggle, the facts, though may taste bitter, are stated: Like a guest who overstays invitations and tries to rob the host, these elements taking undue advantage of the NSCNs courtesies are desperately struggling to disown the owner and trying to bluff the Nagas by proclaiming themselves through usurping of authority but, alas!” it stated.
