The People’s Army of Nagaland, NSCN/GPRN rues the self-willed and unauthorised action by own cadres deployed in Tissari Region. Whereby on the evening of 2ndJan.2012, “way-ward and out of formation” PAN personnel fired upon the residence of one NSCN (IM) worker and resulted in the injuries of two innocent civilians. The IM member was reportedly not present at the time of deplorable incident.
The Tissary Region being isolated remains incommunicado from the Head Quarters at most times, as a result several such unwanted incidents has been occurring between the NSCN’s even in the past. However, such skirmishes out of “the chain of command” and without the approval or directives from the HQ’s are being tackled with matured approach.
The People’s Army’s authority on it’s part shall initiate appropriate measures to prevent recurrences of the same in the future. While expressing regret for the untoward act, the PAN/NSCN also conveys sincere prayer for early recovery of the victims.
