DIMAPUR, JULY 7 (MExN): Taking note of the Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting minutes published on the 7th July 2011 in several local papers, the NSCN/GPRN Khaplang has questioned the Dimapur District Administration and law enforcing agencies as to “why they are relying fully on the allegations of the Khehoi campers”. “Why is SS Major Hotoi Ayemi, the prime accused in the bomb blast case has neither been taken into custody for questioning nor arrested?” stated a press note issued by MIP.
The NSCN Khaplang stated that despite having cleared its position clearly, “the circumstantial nature of the case at our cadres expense is ridiculous, as our cadres who were in fact only carrying out their government’s directive and therefore cannot be held individually or personally responsible”. The MIP note also stated that it shall “pursue the unfinished task with ‘Ambuja Cement Traders’ officially as was done earlier”.
“It is to be recorded henceforth that any State/ District official on the pretext of carrying out investigation, if found enthusiastically pursuing the case against our cadres solely with the same charges, shall be treated as anti NSCN. Exemplary punishment shall be meted out immediately as per the NSCN Yezhabo”, stated the MIP note.
Alleging the “connivance of Dimapur police and District Administration” and stating that this was “quite apparent as the accused Major Hetoi in broad daylight and with full protection of the Dimapur district authorities (for almost half a year) has been running fuel adulteration racket in full view of the colony residents”. The MIP note claimed that the “filled oil tankers are unloaded inside a plain looking bamboo wall, the fuel is then diluted with various chemicals and get distributed to various outlets like oil pumps in and around Dimapur”.
According to the NSCN Khaplang, it was “also learnt that Major Hetoi has already paid an amount of Rs 2, 50,000/- to the IM group as protection fee in the month of May 2011 and that lump sums are being paid to various other police stations including the highway patrols”.
“While Major Hetoi’s criminal activities are being carried out with full police protection, the fact cannot be denied that everyday countless amount of motor cars are being damaged with this adulterated fuel”.
The MIP note stated that it was “this fact that annoys the NSCN/GPRN” and compelled them to “question the integrity of the Dimapur police Administration on its one sided functioning”. The NSCN Khaplang stated that it was “now obliged to activate necessary measures to expose the crime and cleanse the society from the influence of such and many more criminals like Major. Ayemi of Tichitami village, presently residing in Chekiye and is also the Dimapur Town gang leader of Khehoi gang”.
