The NSCN/GPRN had ever been an ardent advocate of peaceful co-existence and peaceful resolution of any mis-understanding or conflicts.
The futility of military approach to resolve Indo-Naga issue has been well acknowledged by the GOI itself, for which political option and diplomatic recourse is being sought after. The political process with GOI i,e the Indo-Naga cease-fire which has been in effect since 2001 and the smooth pace reflects the serious intention of both the GOI and NSCN/GPRN to explore sustainable and peaceful alternative.
It is not uncommon that certain antagonists would attempt to thwart the progress and prospects of political process between the GOI and NSCN/GPRN, in their agitated state of mind, it is possible that they may even resort to cowardice acts of desperation.
However, the particular firing incident at Kohima on 19th September 2011 and putting onus on the NSCN/GPRN directly or indirectly is an open indictment, therefore the NSCN/GPRN shall initiate appropriate inquiry and unearth the malignant intention of those spewing irresponsible comments against the NSCN/GPRN.
The Nagaland Police and the State Home Minister must provide genuine and concrete material proof linking the deceased to NSCN/GPRN in any manner what so ever. It may be reminded that at no point of time had the deceased ex-Pastor ever been connected or enrolled in the NSCN/GPRN.
Where as it is beyond doubt that the slain victim joined IM and later defected to Khehoi Camp, therefore he is a regular member of Khehoi and NNG(Naga National Government)
The unwarranted implication of NSCN/GPRN in the reprehensible incident unless proved through established evidences, befitting measures shall be initiated against those irresponsible individuals or departments.
To establish the truth, the NSCN/GPRN is ready to co-operate or jointly investigate the incident any moment.
