Dimapur, October 17 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN-Khaplang today clarified that one Hemail Sumi is a member of the group assigned to the “chaplee ministry.” The organization clarified a statement said to have been published in the media on the October 17 and attributed to MIP.
“That Hemail Sumi is a genuine member of NSCN/GPRN assigned by the chaplee ministry and had been on official duty when waylaid and not as misrepresented due to audibility problem (over telephonic conversation to the press reporter),” a note from the organization’s ‘MIP’ stated. The NSCN Khaplang in another press note issued by the MIP clarified that the sentence “Hemail Sumi (is not) a member of the NSCN’ should be read as “Hemail Sumi (is) a member of the NSCN”. “The error cropped up due to typing error. The typing error is highly regretted”, stated the MIP.
The note said – “The matter has been judiciously investigated and only after acquiring hard facts and credible evidences has the culpability of Azheto Zimomi been established. To maintain transparent and accountable administration of justice, the circumstantial facets of the incident has also been analyzed and taken into account, accordingly the case has been made public so as to enable the population to discern the facts and understand the NSCN/GPRN predicament also.”
The group said it is neither a “self willed imposition nor an arbitrary decision of the NSCN/GPRN to blindly implicate Azheto Zhimomi.” The MIP note asserted that “recourse has been necessitated owing to a daring act of insinuation and provocation by an individual.” ‘Whatever course of action deemed appropriate is inevitable and is being initiated’ the note added.
Also, another note from the organization’s MIP informed that one Aron Kips previously assigned to “supervise financial affairs” of the NSCN/GPRN in Kohima “now stands cancelled and withdrawn.”
“Concerned establishments” are “being notified to terminate any official correspondences/transactions with Aron Kips immediately,” the note appended as by “ministry of chaplee affairs” through MIP, said.
