
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN on August 25 “unconditionally released” three officials of NSCN/GPRN (Isak-Khango), informed a press release from its MIP.
The trio namely, Kughavi Achumi, Dy Kilonser; Yetoshe Aye, Dy Kilonser and Kuhokhe Yeptho, Tatar were released in the presence of the Western Sumi Hoho led by its president Shikaho Zhimomi and Kuhuboto CSOs (KGPO, KGKK, KGSTH and KGSA), it said.
The NSCN/GPRN further stated that the step was taken to show respect to the requests made by NNPGs Convenor N Kitovi Zhimomi and the WSH led by its president besides other Kuhuboto CSOs, aiming at “building serene atmosphere and peace overtures.”
However, the NSCN/GPRN “reminded everyone that our act of benevolence should not be misconstrued as weakness, and as such, if at all, such misconception arises will be most unfortunate.”
Meanwhile, some CSOs dignitaries also spoke and acknowledged the good gesture and maturity shown by the NSCN/GPRN, the release said.
One of the released officials on behalf of two other two friends acknowledged the “selfless acts done by the CSOs to facilitate their release and also appreciated good faith shown by the NSCN, and further declared that they were neither harass physically nor mentally but was rather treated well as peers and equals and as another National worker,” it added.
