Dimapur, September 16 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has expressed deep pain over the action of the Nagaland police towards the innocent protester of the All Assam students’ Union (AASU) in upper Assam under Golaghat district. While out rightly condemning such unwanted act meted by the police personals, the NSF expressed its strong resentment that, such attitude towards the peaceful demonstrators is totally an act of disrespect. The Federation therefore “invoked the conscious of the concern authority and the police personals to restrain from such unwanted situation especially towards our neighbouring state in order to avoid creating any misunderstanding as we were living in peaceful co-existence”. While extending its solidarity to the injured innocent protester and support towards the demand of the AASU, the NSF also urged upon the Nagaland government to seriously examine the incident and take up necessary action. The NSF press note was issued by its President Mutsikhoyo Yhobu and General Secretary O.Wati Jamir.
