NSF goes global with website launch

KOHIMA, NOV 8 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has become part of the global village with the launching of its website www.nsf.org.in here today at the NSF Conference Hall, Naga Club Building.

Launching the website with a click of the mouse, Additional Chief Secretary Lalthara was of the view that the website would strengthen the activities of the NSF and bring the people closer in their endeavors.

Maintaining that such a move had created a new chapter in the pages of the NSF since its inception, Lalthara expressed the view that the NSF should regularly update its website for a good cause.

“Through the website, we will be able to communicate and disseminate information to each other around the universe,” said NSF president V. Phushika Aomi.

The president also hoped that the website would be able to generate feedback from various quarters of the society as well as from the world, which in turn, would assist in addressing various issues pertaining to the present society.

The website accommodates a wide range of subjects’ like, the genesis of the NSF, updates on federating units, issues on immigrants and indigenous populace, Nagas after British, Nagaland, and a photo gallery too.

The website would also update news and activities of the NSF, said Speaker WH. Maring. It would also host an NSF Forum, where it would invite students and concerned citizens to share their opinions on various social issues.

Earlier, the function was chaired by NSF General Secretary K. Elu Ndang. Editor, Tiryimyim, K. Temjen Jamir as well as the President of the Naga Mother’s Association Khesheli was also present at the function.

Reverend Kari Longchar, from the Nagaland Baptist Churches Council said a prayer while NSF Vice-President Imchatoba Imchen proposed the vote of thanks.
