NSF no to fake documents

Kohima, September 10 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) today said that under no circumstances would individuals with fake documents be appointed as teachers. Even if the government is to accommodate them, no backdoor appointments would be allowed, the NSF warned today in reference to yesterday’s protests by “aggrieved teachers” in Kohima.

The NSF also made clear that even the case of appointees made ‘through proper procedure with genuine documents’ should be ‘meticulously examined and considered.’

”On the pertaining issue, the federation makes its stand very clear that under no circumstances the case of those appointees with fake documents be considered even if the government takes steps to accommodate the grievances raised by the aggrieved teachers’ under the banner of ATAN,” the NSF stated. The note was appended by the NSF’s executives.

The NSF has reiterated that even the case of appointees ‘through proper procedure with genuine documents’ be meticulously examined and considered. The Nagaland government is urged to expedite the matter at the earliest and find out the best possible solution ‘without any procrastination.’ The federation reiterated its stand against backdoor appointments especially in the recruitment of teachers in the state.

“The federation while having understood the grievances raised by those aggrieved teachers’ as an exception however observes that their approach in addressing the matter should have been in a rational manner towards finding an amicable solution,” the federation said.

The NSF maintained that the Education department “being the most important department” concerning the students’ academic career, should be efficiently managed with all competence.
