NSF repeats remove-bogus teachers demand

Dimapur, December 8 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has reiterated its demand for the removal of teachers found to have been appointed through “fraudulent means”. The NSF has asked the Nagaland government to pull up its socks and resolve the matter at the earliest. A note reiterating the demand was received here from the NSF’s executives today. “Ever since the issue of bogus appointment was brought to the limelight, the federation has made its stand clear that those appointed through fraudulent means be immediately terminated from the service in order to cleanse the system so that a corrective measure can be considered in the educational institution,” the NSF said.

The federation expressed dejection at the Education department’s “lackadaisical approach” in handling the issue “as sufficient time has been given to probe into the issue so as to bring to a logical conclusion with prejudice to none.” Hence, the NSF has again urged the Nagaland government to resolve the matter at the earliest keeping in mind the interest of the students’ community. The organization said it has been expressing concern against anti-social elements and corruption in the Naga’s society on several occasions, the note said.
