DIMAPUR, JULY 14 (MExN): The Naga Students Federation (NSF) has written to the Power Minister Government of Nagaland that consequent upon the Power Department’s failure to initiate any positive step in response to the ‘Representation’ submitted by Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), on June 14, 2011, the Federation was compelled to submit this ‘Ultimatum’ to the Department concern for further redressal.
The letter stated that the NSF being the apex organization which represents the voice and aspirations of the upcoming younger generation, cannot be a mere spectator when such irregular and inapt development takes shape in our society.
The Federation strongly denounced the backdoor appointments in Power Department and once again urged upon the Government to immediately cancel the appointments and send to Nagaland Public Service Commission for requisition within 5 days so that Naga educated youths are given ample opportunity to compete in the right platform.
Failing to comply with the genuine demand of the Federation within the stipulated time, the Federation stated that it will take its own course of action till justice is delivered to the students’ community. In addition to the previous list of backdoor appointments, the ultimatum informed the Minister of more post added. This included 5 post of JE (E); 2 post of HE (C); 1 post of S.O (E) Gr.-II; 1 post of J.E (M); 3 posts of SDO (E) Class-I (Gazetted). The NSF letter was issued by Sinhilo Thong, Vice President and Tongpang Ozukum, Assistant General Secretary.
