As the poster campaign demanding for the inclusion of Dimapur under the purview of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) continues, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has stated that the campaign will intensify in the coming days.

The Federation had began its fourth phase in the form of a poster campaign on October 17 in Kohima and Dimapur after receiving a response from the Chief Minister of Nagaland which failed to mention the inclusion of Dimapur under ILP purview.

"The Naga Students Federation had submitted a Memorandum to the Chief Minister for demand to include Dimapur District within the purview of ILP on September 24 with an appeal to the Chief Minister’s Office for a response within a time period of 30 days. However, the reply given to the NSF had no mention of the ILP in Dimapur District," stated the NSF.

The NSF has been spearheading the movement on the issue of ILP since August this year by holding public rallies, organising workshops, conducting verification of ILPs across various districts.

With no positive response from the government, Imtiyapang, NSF general secretary stated that the campaign will intensify.
