DIMAPUR, JANUARY 8 (MExN): The Divisional Manager, Nagaland State Transport (NST), Kohima today issued a clarification to an order by the Nagaland Lokayukta that notice be issued to the Heads of state government offices as to why appropriate action should not be taken under the Nagaland Lokayukta Act and other provision of civil and criminal law for non functioning of offices despite government order to open on January 2, 2020.
A press statement from the NST, Divisional Branch Manager, Kohima, Vikiho H Yepthomi stated that the collection of photographs of non function government offices issued by the Lokayukta included one of the Divisional Manager, Nagaland State Transport Kohima.
However, it clarified that the Divisional Manager's office of the Nagaland State Transport Kohima is still functioning in the AMK building opposite to the Congress Bhavan near the Commissioner of Nagaland office and “not as in the photo of the office buildings which was allotted for the Divisional Manager's office recently.”
The said building, it informed “is still under minor renovation” and would be occupied by the department “very soon.” It therefore urged the concerned authority is requested to make necessary correction and exclude this office.
