Dimapur, February 18 (MExN): The Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NStCB) under the aegis of NABARD conducted training for Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) with the view to strengthen the PACS with digital capacity built-up of PACS members at the grass root level on February 15.
The PACS Development Cell of the bank under co-sponsorship of NABARD Nagaland Regional office imparted training to 30 members of 10 viable PACS on Common Accounting System (CAS), Business Diversification Plan (BDP) in digital mode and operation of digital device. The training was conducted by resource persons from NABARD and officials of the Bank.
Earlier, Tiakala, GM (OIC) NABARD Nagaland Regional Office and Abhijit Kumar Deb, Managing Director of the Bank emphasized on the roles and responsibilities of PACS in uplifting rural economic in the state by increasing PACS membership.
10 laptops and printers were distributed to 10 participating PACS initially for their respective offices. The Registrar of Cooperative Societies Nagaland was represented by W Khing ARCS & OIC WEAFED.
Public Utility Service
Earlier, in the day Abhinav Shivam IAS, Deputy Commissioner Chümoukedima inaugurated the installation and functioning of the 24th ATM and being the 2nd public utility service of NStCB ATM in Chümoukedima town in presence of the Chairman Chümoukedima Village Council, Managing Director & officials of the bank and the public.
The inauguration was preceded through a programme where Sazo Kire Pastor Town Church Chümoukedima pronounced the invocation prayer with Dzuzeho Sale GM NStCB on the chair. Pankaj Bhattacharjee GM (ID) welcomed the gathering and vote of thanks was proposed by Neilalie Chiero BM Chümoukedima branch.
