DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 9 (MExN): The Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) today expressed its opposition to the proposed Pan Naga Hoho reported to be a part of the solution to the Indo-Naga political issue. A press release from the NTC stated that the formation of a PAN Naga Hoho would be “irrelevant without land and territorial integration" and in the event of the formation of such a body, its headquarters should not be located in the State of Nagaland.” This resolution was adopted during an NTC general council meeting on December 6, it informed. “It is a known fact that while appreciating the predicament of one another between the negotiators, agenda on Naga territorial integration was excluded from the political negotiations. More so, the territorial integrity of the neighboring States is protected. This being the factual position, the Nagas in the Northeast India will remain as it is,” the NTC stated. As such, it observed that “the same yardstick should apply" in respect to the territorial integrity of Nagaland state.
