DIMAPUR, JULY 26 (MExN): The Naga Tradition, Culture and Literature Committee of Layshi Township (NTCLC) conducted its election for change of leadership on July 26. The election was initially scheduled to be held on April 21 but due to the global pandemic, it got delayed.

Jüvsühthong  Jongs, who is the then chairman of township NTCLC held the chair. The NNP, USDP, NLD, UDP & MBP were also invited to the opening session today. It was resolved that the NTCLC as a parent body of Nagas in Layshi township should “stand as a mother and father to Nagas and strive for peace and unity among Nagas and neighbours.”

The new team of leaders elected for a tenure of three years includes: Chairman, Sangmyaa Para; Vice Chairman, Yongpithong Shonglë Makury; General Secretary, Aungwin Naing Tangkhul; Assistant General Secretary, Nu Gyee Koga; Treasurer, David Tangkhul; and Patron/Head of Advisory Board members  of NTCLC Layshi township, Jüvsühthong Jongphüvlë Makury.
