Dimapur, February 11 (MExN): The NUTA (Nagaland University Teachers’ Association) will be holding a protest on February 12 from 10: am to 1:00 pm in all four campuses of Nagaland University. In a press release, President CEC (Central Executive Council), NUTA said that the protest “is against the NRC,CAA and attacks and violence against teachers and students during the past months in JNU, DU, Jamia, AMU, Viswa Bharati University, Tripura University and as recent as yesterday against students of Jamia Milia Islamia University.” While protesting in solidarity, the Association will also share NUTA concerns at the sit-in, said the release.
The protest will be held outside university administration building in all campuses. NUTA requested all teachers to join in solidarity and be present at the protest as classes have been cancelled with prior information to authorities. The FEDCUTA and various university teachers associations from the country have conveyed their good wishes, gratitude and solidarity with the NUTA proposed protest, said the release.
