NWA team departs for coaching in Uttar Pradesh

Kohima, November 9 (MExN): A 17-member team of the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) on November 9 departed for Gonda, Uttar Pradesh for a month-long coaching camp.
The coaching camp is being organised by the NWA in collaboration with the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), the association informed in a press release.  The team comprised of 12 males and 5 females. 

As per the NWA, the coaching camp will be focused on Freestyle Wrestling and Greco Roman Style of wrestling, a decision taken after seeing the potential and scope of wrestling in these two disciplines.
The association envisions developing Naga wrestlers in these disciplines for upcoming National Championships, it added. 

A brief send-off programme was held in Kohima for the team on November 9 where Dr. Chikhungo Puro, pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima, encouraged, exhorted and blessed the team.

The team comprises of prominent Naga Wrestlers Venuzo Dawhuo and Huluyi D Vadeo among others. The team is led by Kuzhovesa Soho, Joint Secretary, NWA and Keneilel Kevin Rote, Treasurer, NWA.
The team consists of Thejanguzo Pfukha, Keneisellie Khawakhrie, Ketuozotuo Tepa, Zayievoto Kiso, Kevilekho Paul Peki, Kheseto Zutso, Venuzo Dawhuo, Huluyi D Vadeo, Kusayi Tsutso, Jubilee Pfithu, Masharuta Sharu, Lichumthung C Kikon, Khrielhounuo Thevo, Vekhoneilu Curhah, Putifi Sharu Pfithu, Yaluka Trakha and Nyurhenle Tep.
