Kohima, October 4 (MExN): A drug peddler was arrested from the general area Tsumang A Colony, Wokha on October 3 by security forces as part of the ongoing crackdown to prevent illegal activities, an official release informed.
The arrest was made when the security forces alongwith police representative launched an operation in the area based on specific intelligence input regarding illegal activities, said the press release issued by Col Sanjiv Sethi, PRO, HQ IGAR (N).
Four cases of assorted liquor, 4 canned beer and 13 packets of cocaine/heroin and cash amounting to Rs 57,280 approximately were recovered, it said.
The apprehended individual along with recovered items was handed over to Wokha Police Station, for further investigation, it added.
