Wokha, September 2 (MExN): The Wokha District Administration and DLCW-MSK under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao in collaboration with Sakhi-One Stop Centre organized a felicitation programme of online song composition and singing competition on the theme ‘Strength of a woman’ at DC chamber on September 2.
Speaking at the felicitation programme, Orenthung Lotha, Deputy Commissioner, shared that the main motive behind organizing such kind of online competition is not only to create awareness but also to keep the people mind engaged and active during the pandemic. He also said that winning a competition should not only be the aim but participation and lending one own voice is more important. At the end, he encouraged the participants to continue using their God’s given talent in song composition and singing for a brighter future and better tomorrow.
In solo category, Nchumbemo Patton of GHSS colony bagged the 1st prize, Lichumo Erui and Lobeno Tungoe of Wokha Village bagged the 2nd and 3rd prize and Nzanbeni and Co was adjudged with consolation prize. The winning songs are uploaded in YouTube channel- Sakhi One Stop Centre & DLCW-MSK.
