Dimapur, January 8 (MExN): Various student bodies and organizations have mourned the demise of Eastern Naga Students’ Association (ENSA) Vice President Phungpha Angsha, son of Gagang Aangsa from Chuyo Noknyu Village, Myanmar who passed away on January 5.
ENSA: The Eastern Naga Students’ Association (ENSA) has expressed grief at the untimely demise. Phungpha was appointed as Vice President of ENSA ON July 15, 2019 during its 5th General Conference, a condolence message from ENSA read. It described Wangsa as a sincere and humble leader and losing him was a “great loss” to the Nagas and Eastern Nagas in particular. ENSA conveyed condolence to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
NSCN (IM) NFFWWF: The NSCN (IM) NFFWWF also mourned the demise. In a condolence message, Mingthingla Khamrang, Chairperson, NSCN (IM) NFFWWF recalled Anghsa's long and distinguished public service to the people and his role for the Eastern Naga society. He served the federation (as a Driver of the office vehicle) with sincerity from the year 2010 till the time of his demise. “He was an obedient, reliable, dedicated and responsible person and above all, a warm and caring human being." The Naga Freedom Fighter's Widow's Welfare Federation (NFFWWF) extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the Almighty grant them solace and also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
OSU: The Ollo Students' Union (OSU) also mourned the demise. “His death brings us great loss not only to the family members but also to Tangshang Community as a whole. It is our prayers that may our almighty God comfort the bereaved family members and may his soul rest in peace,” read a condolence message from the Union.
TNSA: The Tangshang Naga Student's Association (TNSA) also expressed grief over the demise. A condolence message from the Union said that Anghsa was one of the young educated leader, who stood for the community in any circumstances with his selfless services. “The contribution done by him to the society, especially to the student's community can never be forgotten.” It prayed that God give strength and comfort to the bereaved family and for the departed soul to rest in peace.
EKSUM: The Eastern Konyak Students Union, Myanmar deeply mourned the demise of Phungpha Angsha. A condolence message from former Vice President, ENSA Amen Konyak and Present Executive Secretary, Longshah Konyak stated that Angsha has been a tall leader to the Eastern Nagas who tirelessly served in various capacities in all Naga inhabited areas. The Union prayed that the Lord comfort his family members and for the departed soul to rest in peace.
CSUD: The Chuyo Student's Union Dimapur extended gratitude to all who stood by them in their pain and grief. In a condolence message from CSUD, it acknowledged Amathing, Amayo, NFFWWF, ENSA, Tangshang Naga Student's Association (TNSA), Wancho Baptist Fellowship Dimapur, Eastern Konyak Student's Union, Wancho Student's Union, Dimapur, Ollo Student's Union, Dimapur, Kaishan Student's Union, Dimapur, well wishers and friends. The Union prayed that God will bless all in abundance.
