Orgs demand thorough investigation death of Engineer  

DIMAPUR, MARCH 28 (MExN): Several organisations have demanded thorough investigation into the death of Er Kevinguto Khate, a resident of Kuda Village on March 16, whom they alleged was murdered.

 

KVC: The Kuda Village Council (KVC) while condemning the incident said that incident requires investigation into the “root of the crime” citing evidence from CCTV cameras. Urging the law enforcement agencies to leave no stone unturned in apprehending the culprits, the KVC in a press release asked the police to establish the motive of the murder. Stating that the victim was a promising youth of the State and State has been robbed of a talented engineer, the KVC extended condolences to the bereaved family.

 

 

CMK: The Chakhromapfü Mechü Krotho (CMK) has also condemned the alleged murder. “For a mother to raise her son to stand tall not just among the Angami tribe but Nagas as a whole, and then for that life to be cruelly cut short in broad daylight is unimaginable and an insult to humanity,” a press release from the CMH stated. The association, as mothers and sisters, grieves with the family and prays for comfort and solace, it added. The association further urged the authorities to deliver severe punishment to the accused.

 

CPO: The Chakhroma Public Organization has also condemned the alleged murder of Er. Khate. A press release from the CPO said that “in his untimely demise, we have lost a prominent member and the vacuum left behind by his sudden death will be difficult to fill in the near future.” The CPO urged the law enforcing agencies to deliver justice at the earliest by awarding severe punishment to the culprits.

 

 

Khonoma Rüffüno Dimapur (KRD):  Expressing shock and condemning at the alleged murder, Khonoma Rüffüno Dimapur (KRD) urged the law enforcement agencies to thoroughly investigate the matter and award befitting punishment to the culprits.  “Late Er. Kevinguto Khate was serving as an Assistant Professor at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Nagaland, Chümoukedima till that fateful day and has contributed greatly to the growth and development of the nascent premier institution,” informed a press release from the KRD President, Kevizeto Meyase 

 

“He was an accomplished Structural Engineer not only in the state arena but also at the national level,” the KRD stated.  In his death, the state has lost a most promising personality not only cut short the dreams of a young upcoming academician with umpteen potentials but has also caused an irreparable loss to our society,” it added. The KDR further extended condolences to the bereaved family.

 

 

NIE Mysore Naga Alumni Association: The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) Mysore Naga Alumni Association while condemning the alleged murder said that “his demise is a great loss for the association and the Nagas in general.” A press release from the association urged the law enforcing agency to leave no stone unturned and bring the culprits to book. It further extended condolences to the bereaved family.
