DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 21 (MExN): The Public Action Committee (PAC) under the aegis of Naga Council Dimapur has voiced concern over the rampant collection of money in the market and check gates by both State and non-State actors.
Condemning such illegal activities, the PAC media cell in a press statement appealed the authorities to stop their personnel from such acts which is totally unchristian and against our religion.
At the same time, the PAC also appealed the public to inform/report to the district administration authorities/police any incidences in order to take necessary action.
The PAC also expressed dismay with the Urban Development & Municipal Affairs department for issuing lease system to collect utility fees which it said is the main cause of price rise of commodities.
“The government have not heeded to the fight by public against such price rise which is a clear indication of being people unfriendly.” In this regard, the PAC-NCD has informed all the Tribal Hohos to be ready with volunteers for “any action any time.”
