DIMAPUR, MARCH 12 (MExN): Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Pangnyu Phom today held a meeting with the Chief Medical Officer of Dimapur and the Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Dimapur.
The meeting resolved to carry out several awareness initiatives in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was decided to display posters and banners on COVID-19 awareness at strategic locations in the district and also through print media, AIR and doordarshan. Awareness will also be created at schools, colleges and through faith based institutions, while at the same time checking the spread of rumours and false messages in social media.
The meeting also decided to check the availability and price of mask and hand sanitizer in the market, while ensuring the availability of IEC materials on COVID-19 at the railway station, airport, bus terminals, check gates and taxis.
