PCC acknowledges response and support

Public Coordination Committee

With the culmination of three days of sit-in protest, the Public Coordination Committee (PCC) is overwhelmed by the response and support shown by individuals and organisations. The moral, physical and material support extended towards united voice of the Nagas against corruption is a manifestation of the Naga people's frustration against corruption and the will to pave the way for a better tomorrow. The sit-in-protest would not have been possible had it not been for the mediatory role and dialogue initiated by Angami Senior Citizens and also the APO Advisory Board, who stepped in to ensure that the fight for a corruption-free society and justice to the younger generation is not hampered.

We are thankful to the Kohima Baptist Pastors' Fellowship's special prayers in every church on November 12, 2017 for the success of the protest and also delegating members on each day of the protest. The PCC hopes that the Church of various denominations will continue to be conscience keepers of our people. It is also equally important to thank the Kohima Village Youth Organization and Kohima Chambers of Commerce and Industries for graciously providing refreshments to the protest attendees. The PCC deeply appreciates the support shown by Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Panchayat, Nagaland Baptist Church Council, Nagaland Indigenous People's Forum, Ao Students' Union Dimapur, Tenyime Students' Union Dimapur, Pochury Students' Union and the Educated Unemployed Youth of Nagaland who all showed their solidarity towards the just cause. It is also pertinent to mention, ALS and Sachdeva coaching centres based in Dimapur for their monetary help, Dr. Khekugha Muru for sponsoring the car stickers campaign, sound system and back-up and numerous kind-hearted citizens, organizations and institutes who generously donated in cash and in kind for our fight against corruption.
