Dimapur, August  21 (MExN): The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Head of Forest Force (PCCF & HoFF) Nagaland, Dharmendra Prakash, IFS, undertook a visit to Intanki National Park (INP) on August 20. 

During his one day visit to INP, he inspected the facilities available at the Protection Camps from strong room to Gymnasium and other basic amenities for the well being of the Protection Forces. He also visited Anti-poaching Camps located inside the National Park to see how monitoring and protection activities are being carried out in the Park. 

During the post noon session he interacted with staff, he encouraged them to be proactive, remain fit & healthy and stay away from intoxicating substances in order to give the best service which will be significant for the coming generation.

He also encouraged the staff to complete mandatory professional training at the earliest to remove hassle on promotional avenues. 

T Aochuba, IFS, Director, INP, thanked the PCCF & HoFF for taking keen interest in visiting the park. During the interaction, he briefed about management issues of the park and priorities to be taken up by the department for better management of the park. 

He also briefed about the present staff strength, wildlife habitat management, alternative source of livelihood of the fringe communities to reduce dependency on forest and other exposure & exchange program of the staff with other well managed parks of the Country to improve protection and management practices of the park.  

He concluded by calling upon the staff to render the best and dedicated effort in conservation and protection of the National Park for the well being of the people of the state.
