People’s expectation of our teachers in govt colleges

•-The commission of deliberate irregularities in duty performances by quite a good number of so-called Professors in government colleges in Nagaland is nothing new and hence calls for appropriate role of the Employer without delay. The Phek Town Chakhesang Student’s Union is to be lauded/praised for trying to start and bring about a reformation in their locality. It appears that they had done their home-works well before going to the Press.
Irregularities of a few teachers in government colleges also hurt the sentiment and morale of rest of the teachers. It is learn that even a newly recruited teacher in a govt college gets between Rs.30-40 thousand every month (which comes to the average salary of a private college teacher for four to five months).
Of late, it is also seen that all the teachers in govt colleges in Nagaland have been designated as Professors (that is the highest rank/title given to a teacher).Hence, the people expect that they should live up to the expectation of their designation and profession.
