Peren, February 7 (MExN): The monthly Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on February 6 at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, District Headquarter New Peren under the chairmanship of DC Peren cum DPDB Vice-Chairman, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting discussed on the requirement for renovation of government schools in Peren. The DEO Peren highlighted some one of inconveniences faced by both the students and the managing authorities due to the unstable and dilapidated school building. Taking it into consideration, the house agreed to approve and go for major renovation of the same.
In regard to survey and mapping of departmental sites, LRSO informed the house that 2nd phase of survey and mapping will be conducted on February 25 and 26 for the departments which have not been surveyed and further requested them to cooperate with the team. The board also approved the registration of Society-SPACS in the meeting.
Other minutes of the meeting included discussion on the adoption of Peren Government College and Implementation of Iconic Project under Local Area Development Project (LADP). In connection to Iconic Project under LADP, DC Peren urged the District Officials present in the meeting to come up with innovative ideas and submit in written within a period of one week.
A short powerpoint presentation was also given by Power Department and Medical Department. DC Peren entrusted Tourism department to prepare powerpoint presentation of their departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting.
