PEREN, FEBRUARY 6 (MExN): The monthly meeting of the Peren District Planning and Development Board was held on Friday at the DC’s Conference Hall in Peren under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Peren, D Robin.
The meeting began with a welcome address by the chair, followed by a review of the minutes of the previous DPDB meeting. On behalf of the district administration, the ADC expressed appreciation to all departments for their active participation in the successful celebration of the 77th Republic Day.
During discussions on a proposal seeking financial assistance for renovation of the drainage system and construction of a retaining wall at the Peren Town Local Ground, the ADC informed the Board that the proposal had already been approved in an earlier DPDB meeting but had not yet been forwarded to the concerned department for implementation. After deliberation, the Board resolved to route the application to the Municipal Affairs Department for necessary action.
The meeting also took up an agenda raised by the SDO PWD (R&B), Er Asembe Mbungcha, regarding difficulties faced by students in obtaining birth certificates following the reopening of schools and colleges. Clarifying the issue, DESO Peren Vikeyielienuo Chielie briefed the members. In response, the ADC suggested that block-wise workshops be conducted across the district to address the matter.
