DIMAPUR, MARCH 20 (MExN): Dimapur Police today informed that no fresh permit will be issued for any public gathering, rally, meeting etc and all permits already issued for non-essential social gatherings stands suspended till further order.
A press release from the Dimapur Commissioner of Police asked citizens of Dimapur to exercise self restraint on non-essential movement in public places, maintain social distance and avoid public gathering.
All commercial and private vehicles entering the district in transit from other states will be subjected to screening upon entry. Public Transport like bus, taxi and auto rickshaw service for local, inter-state and inter-district transit will continue with adequate precautionary measures, the police stated.
Meanwhile, the police directed proprietors of all lodgings/shelter homes/dharamshalas/homestays/hostels in the district to ensure regulation of all admissions granted in their establishments and report any suspected cases to the Dimapur District Control Room (7630877991/ 7630877983).
