Imparting formal education is a human institution to make a man complete for the welfare of oneself as well as for the welfare of his larger society in the long run to make the society a better place to live in. Establishing educational institution to run is an individual free choice. One cannot run his institution materially and financially lose. Since human institution is not such kind of business of selling and buying of commodities, its gaining should not be in a double one. While I was getting admission into one Government High School in 1980 its fee was only Rs 4 but now it has been raised to the tune of nearly Rs 900. Moreover, it came to learn that even admission into nursery class in a private school, its fee is more than Rs 4000 per pupil. Considering of those systems of fees, it seems education is not really free education. Here is a complex question difficult to give a simple answer. How can the children from the poor family background get admission into such institutions? Parents of children’s from the have not family and rural farmers cannot afford the various fees of their children at the best time. Value of money and its wide circulation in the past and the present day by day are quite different. Prices of essential commodities in the market were markedly increasing. In short, all the moveable and immovable articles are rapidly increasing its price. Taking into account of these entire scenes the monthly salaries of the teachers in private schools have to raise commensurate with the salaries of the government teachers.
Education is a state subject clearly envisaged in the constitution of India. So also providing sound education is a free education as propagated by the government
Since all the running private schools are directly or indirectly under the power and control of the concerned state government all necessary guidelines and directions relating to admission fees, tuition fees and the like can be suitably given by the state government. Keeping in view the needs and necessities of the masses. Fixation of admission fees and tuition fees in the privately run institutions will be preferably made by the government. Keeping in mind the local situations the privately run institutions have to comply with that.
Well, many private establishments of the schools are coming up. Disseminating of quality education should be in the process of competition. It need not in the sense that good performance of the students in the annual academic examinations that lead to the immediate inflate of various fees. Moreover, it is not that the various fees in the school raise on the reasons of the raise of the demand to rush for new admission.
Admission is being denied in some ownership schools and even in government schools on the ground of various reason which is totally contrary to the popular watch word ‘Free education, equal opportunity’ in the field of education. It will be the best on the part of the state government to keep vigil not only on the administration and the academic functioning in all the government schools but also on all the private institutions and check the record of such activities. Most urgent necessaries of infra structures and financial grant-in-aid given to the schools will be appreciated.
