Pessao Village council appeal for teachers

Kohima, August 9 (MExN): The Pessao village council expressed concerned over the shortage of teachers and since the scandal of bogus teachers had cropped up, two schools in the village is said to be facing untold miseries.
A press release issued by its chairman S.P Chemang Konyak stated that the children are made to attend classes without teachers leaving the students’ academic career uncertain. It added more that there are shortages of teachers where only three teachers struggle to manage the functioning of one such school and two teachers in other school of our village and trained teachers (like CPTE-pass) were trained at the cost of government under SSA towards new pedagogy trained teachers have wider experience and knowledge then the untrained teachers.
The press note said that under DIS Tobu, Pessao is one of the largest villages with largest students’ enrolments, besides, Pessao village is located at the corner if Nagaland bounded with Myanmar, “for this reason, newly appointed teachers do not wish to come to our village, we are in need of more teachers in-order to shape the students’ future”, he added.
It is also mentioned that in-spite of repeated appeal and request to the higher authorities it seems their grievances feel only in the deaf ear of the concerned authorities and reiterated its fervent appeal to look into the matter and provide them with qualified teachers and accommodate our sufficient schools where enrolment of students in each of the schools are mounting. “Therefore, I on-behalf of the Pessao Village Council (PVC) and village education committee (VEC) the concerned authorities are requested to understand that schools with students and without required teachers are null and void. So, consider the case as urgent for the welfare of the aggrieved students”, Konyak added.
