Kohima, January 20 (MExN): Massive preparations going on for the 71st general conference of Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) in coinciding with platinum jubilee of Pfutseromi Village Students’ Union (PVSU), scheduled for January 21 to 23 at Pfutseromi village.
Minister for planning & coordination, land revenue and parliamentary affairs Neiba Kronu will be the inaugural guest on January 22 while Ex-MLA Niizota Swuro will be the introductory guest on January 21.
Dr. Velü-o Shijo, additional director SIRD, Nagaland and Kevekha Kevin Zehol, secretary Nagaland Public Service Commission will be the cultural and valedictory guests respectively.
The resource persons of the conference will include Timikha Koza, president Tenyimi People’s Organization and Theja Therieh, president Chakhesang Hoho, Kohima.
Greetings will be shared by Lipemo M. Tsopoe, president Lotha Students’ Union, Mikha Kenye, president Chakhesang Public Organization, Ninoto Awomi, president Naga Students’ Federation and Marikho O Lerüna, president Mao Students’ Union.
Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) president Zhonelü Tunyi will exhort the gathering while Huska Yepthomi, ex-president Sümi Hoho will deliver short speech.
Tribute to CSU leaders will be led by Deo Nukhu, ex- president CSU.
Meanwhile, CSU president Lavoto Chizo extended invitation to all the former CSU presidents and former CSU executives to the conference.
According to CSU, it is mandatory for the affiliated units and subordinate bodies to attend the conference with a minimum of 50 delegates.
All the delegates have been asked to wear atleast one traditional attire during the conference.
