Khulazu Basa village choir, winner of the theme song of the seventh edition of the JCBKK held at Thipuzu village.
Kohima, February 1 (MExN): The seventh edition of Japfüphiki Chokri Baptist Khriesarüü Krotho (JCBKK) convention concluded on January 31 at Thipuzu village in Phek district. The convention is held once every five years between the Chakhesang Chokri Area Baptist Youth Fellowship (CABYF) and the Angami Japfüphiki Baptist Khriesarüü Krotho (JBKK), stated a press release.
The organiser informed that a total number of 24 churches from both JBKK and CABYF and over 1420 delegates were registered in the three-daylong event that began on January 28.
Competitions during the event included the folk song, solo, choir, group bible recitation, and movie. In the folk song category, the first place went to Phusachodu village, the second was Jakhama village and the third place was Thenyizu village. In solo, Sesito Lüho stood first, second - Vesatalü Venuh, and third went to Vevotalü Ringa. The first place in the theme song was bagged by Khulazu Basa village, the second was Khuzama village and the third went to Phesama village. In the category of group bible recitation, Kezoma stood first while Sakhaba and Kikrüma came in second and third respectively. The JBKK won first place in movie making while CABYF came in second.
Speakers during the convention were Kehovi Tase, executive secretary of Japfüphiki Baptist Church Council; Dr Hüsazülü C Khamo, academic dean at Discipleship Bible College, Dimapur; Dr. Villo Naleo, academic dean at Shalom Bible Seminary, Zubza; and Rev Dr Sülüveyi Rhakho, director of Harvest Ministries International. They spoke on topics including “Know the truth and shine for Christ”, “Become good and faithful servant and shine for Christ”, “Live in the love of Christ and shine for Christ”, and “Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life."
JCBKK new office bearers for the tenure of 2022-2027 will be led by Vizapo Kikhi as president and Nekhonü Chüzho as general secretary.
The next conference will be hosted by JBKK in 2027.
