Phek, November 19 (MExN): Phek District observed the World Toilet Day with the rest of the country on November 19 under the theme ‘When Nature calls.’ The event was organized by the Government High School, Losami and sponsored by the WSSO, PHED, Nagaland.
The programme was chaired by Mesete GT and invoked by Rukewe, GT based on the theme, Virhelie Kruneilie, Sanitation & Hygiene Consultant, PHED, Phek emphasized on the importance, its impact and usage of Toilet. He also highlighted on the Sustainable Development Goal-6 (SDG-6), to ensure the availability and sustainable management of sanitation and water for all by 2030. He highlighted the students on the sustainability of Open Defecation Free (ODF) and urged them to be an ambassador in spreading the message.
